Lmao! I just realized how many days in a row I’ve had tacos!

Fried potato tacos.

Ceviche… I’m not sure how to translate that to english. Oh well. Hahaha.

Sounds disgusting, right? Well, they’re not!

Chopped up tongue, and tortillas.

Add onion, cilantro, green salsa. Good shit.

Chicken tacos — self-explanatory.

Tortillas and chicken.

Just add salsa, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, frijoles, whatever else you might like on ‘em.

No one really cooks during the weekend.

We just had leftovers, quesadillas, sandwiches, and tortas from Tacos Yuris.

Ensalada de jaiva

It’s Friday! It’s lent! That means… my family can’t eat meat today. Mom made chiles rellenos (stuffed peppers), but I don’t like those much. She made me make ensalada de jaiva (imitation crab salad) for myself and whoever wanted any. I’m not gonna tell you how to make chiles rellenos. Not today, anyway. But I’ll tell you how I made the jaiva salad.

What you need:

jaiva
lettuce
tomato
onion
celery
mayonaise and/or mexican sour cream (or regular sour cream, I guess… personally, I prefer the mexican one)

What to do with it:

chop up the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and celery
tear up the jaiva so that it isn’t too big
throw them all in a bowl
add mayonaise (I used two spoonfuls)
mix them all together
eat with tostadas!
